Youths Of The Stars, previously named Buy The Stars, is a series about three griffin siblings trying to find a satisfying existence for themselves in a ruthless world, written by Flower Griffon.
It stars the young Flower, who grows up apathetic due to the many hardships she's endured. The growing animosity between griffins and wolves worsens living conditions for all, and she guards the little bits of happiness she manages to obtain with combativeness.
As she's having trouble keeping friendly faces around -and death is seemingly unavoidable- her optimism and willingness to connect with strangers are tested.
The story made its first online appearance in the form of Youtube music videos, whereof the first installment was uploaded on December 21, 2015.
On October 25, 2019, a comic reboot was announced at Deviantart, but the story never got finished past its opening scene.

Story
Buy The Stars
Below is a synopsis of the original story, as it was first conceived:
The story starts off with a 2 week old griffin, named Flower, opening her eyes the first time. She awakens alone in a cave, until an older sibling shows up to check on her. Flames gives her a smile and politely introduces himself, even though the infant can't speak or understand him.
As Flower grows up, she develops an attachment to her parents, though mostly bonds with her mother. All seems to go well for the family, though Flower's father lives a double life; and hides from them the fact he has another son from a different female.Tiph becomes pregnant again and gives birth to another son, Atome. A mere 2 weeks afterwards, Tiph finds out about her partner's second family and confronts him about it. Dark claims not to be involved with them anymore and the subject is not brought up again. Nevertheless, he keeps meeting up with his other son.
After things finally seem to have settled down again, a large pack of wolves invade without warning, resulting into Dark getting ambushed and killed. Flower is first to find his corpse, but could only give him a quick embrace before she and her family had to flee the overrun area.

Time moves forward, showing Flower and her brothers as young teenagers -at an age that deems a griffin ready for independence. After saying their goodbyes to their mother, they choose to live alongside each other and team up as means of survival. When Flower has a drink at a river one day, she's approached by a fox demon, named Snips. They hit it off right away, but the pleasantries are cut short when Flower is called over by her brothers. Since meeting Snips was the most fun she's had in a long time, they promise to meet again.
Their relationship becomes stronger every time they do, and 8 months later, they agree to become mates. The young Flower lays 7 eggs soon afterwards, but because she's an undeveloped preteen, the majority is empty/stillborn. One survives and is named Sniffon.Weeks later, Snips is found dying from unknown causes. Flower expresses immeasurable sadness, though he states to be content with the life he's lived with her and his brother. After this tragedy, Flames comes to her with the demand to give her daughter to him. Despite the sound argument that Sniffon's life isn't safe in the hands of an inexperienced mother and teenager, the emotional Flower refuses and runs away with her.
But Flames is proven right when she finds her child mauled to death only shortly after her escape. The perpetrator is unknown, and the loss of her partner and child leave their mark; turning Flower into a shut-in. With no one left to confide in, she chooses the solitary life. One night, a brown wolf named Aussie is out exploring the area, but gets jumped and pinned down by a territorial Flower. Aussie ignores the hostility and becomes instantly smitten. She blushes in response to the griffin towering over her, even though Flower's face is devoid of emotion and she shows no interest back. Aussie urges her to meet up more often, and she decides to do so as to not hurt her feelings, since she recognizes the wolf to be a friendly and harmless character. Flower has a slight emotional recovery and finds a new friend in the stranger. They fall in love and have a child together, named Fussie, though the details on how two females managed to do so is not explained in the story.
Time skips forward to the war between wolves and griffins, which had been brewing years prior. Flower made another wolf friend during that time, named "Wolfie", who chooses to fight alongside her. Because of her betrayal, Wolfie's sister has her eyes on her and plans to kill her, but the attack is blocked by Flower. The large, angered wolf proves to be a challenge and manages to pin the griffin to a tree and rip her throat out.
While Flower struggles to stay alive, she sees the image of her long passed father. Wolfie cries next to her immobilized body, bearing witness to her last words and the notable expression of happiness as she breathes her last breath.
Youths Of The Stars
Below is a synopsis of the reboot:
The story opens up with a teenage Flower and her family on the run for an undisclosed threat. The constant travelling presses on her patience and she argues about it to her mother, but eventually accepts that their predicament warrants the discomfort. The family goes to sleep, but Flower is awakened by her little brother who wishes to examine the forest after seeing something move. She calls after him, but his curiosity gets the better of him and he disappears into the darkness.
