The World of Saints and Sinners is a series created by RD959.
It generally revolves around the lasting legacy of superhero SubZero, and what occurred after his death. There are 17 concurrent stories in this series; all either closely or very loosely connected to one another. There are also multiple sub-series, which consist of a chain of books all containing the same protagonist or similar protagonists.
Editor's note: This is likely going to be my home base for creating pages for all of these characters, if I ever get around to making some of these.
Starred stories (*) indicate the story was written by someone else, but they do tie in with the rest so it's worth adding them here. As such characters in the story are not mine either, I will not make a page on them.

History
The timeline remains mostly similar to our real-world timeline up until the 1980s, where instead of a Cold War, the USSR and the USA went to all-out war, with the Soviets prevailing. A North American puppet state was set up, and remained for 17 years until SubZero helped collapse the puppet regime, leading to the eventual collapse of the USSR itself in 2004.
In 2015 a robot army led by Virusmaster and The Supreme attacked the cities of Toronto and Montreal, seeking to steal the massive amounts of resources in their vaults. SubZero and his team intervened, managing to defeat them, but at the loss of SubZero's ally Hayden Ross, and the sacrifice of SubZero himself in order to kill off The Supreme for good. Canada was devastated by the attack, and the entire world devastated by the death of SubZero.
Later that year billionaire Richard Nicholas formed the Federal Union of Repton using the late SubZero's money to purchase land; made up of western Canada, along with the Cascadia region of the United States and Alaska.
9 years later, the Soviets came back in the form of the Eurasian Socialist Union, and declared war on Repton, sparking the Third World War. Main protagonist Liam McMahon was very influential in the war. Not only did he play a massive role in the internal conflict with the CSO, but he also participated in multiple theatres and eventually decided the fate of the Soviet leader Vladimir Smirnov. This war raged on for 6 years until Repton and NATO prevailed, capitulating the ESU and communist China; ending with Russia's division and China being taken back by the Kuomintang (Taiwanese government). This would be the last sight of a communist state until the Far Eastern Commune in 2043.
Liam McMahon would also be the first person to time travel since SubZero, as in 2039 he was assigned to stop an attempt on Adolf Hitler's life for the sake of preserving the already unstable timeline. Little did he know this would come back to haunt him, as the wife of the hitman whom he killed would get her revenge and kill Liam 3 years later.
Not much happens in any story up until the 2070s, during the Iraq War, in which protagonists Steven Smith and Isaac McMahon- the son of the late Liam McMahon- served. Iraq was taken over by ruthless demonic forces, with a neo-anarchist belief of achieving world domination. The war started when a group of Iraqi soldiers attempted to pass through the Suez Canal, a strictly economic-only canal zone. In response, the soldiers made landfall in the city of Suez and quickly took hold of it. Within two days they had seized the entire Sinai Peninsula and were marching on Cairo. This act of aggression led many major UN members to join in, including the US, Repton, and Moscow.
The Iraq War came to a close in 2072, when the grandmaster of the demons was killed while in hiding in Baghdad.
Repton ultimately collapsed during the North American Civil War in 2074, in which a fascist dictator had taken over Canada; this had led it to become a nuclear wasteland, prompting the USA to intervene and save the majority of the major Canadian cities.
As the world pivots to space exploration, so do the conflicts. The First Martian War occurred in 2097 when the United Kingdom and China failed to settle a border dispute over their Martian colonies, and one side is provoked by the other; the war resulted in a ceasefire but was a major kickstarter for spaceship weaponry. The Second Martian War in 2106 involved the UK again, but against the Republic of Moscow over conflicting mining rights. During this war an Anti-Space Expansion Committee is formed, similar to an outer-space United Nations. They intervene in the war, but it still takes nearly 2 million casualties. To solve the issue, all involved nations on the committee abandoned their colonies and allowed an independent Martian Federation to be formed instead.
The CSO
The Communal Strike Organization (later the Cyber S.O.) is a militia group with a socio-communist worldview and seeks to collapse democracy, with their main targets being major democracies such as the US, the UK, and in part, Repton. They formed in 1934 in response to the Nazis overthrowing the Weimar government in Germany. The organization rooted from an old munitions company in the UK known as the Wesley Brothers Coal Co. which was seized by a gang in 1931 and later the aspiring CSO founders in '34.
The CSO pivoted towards espionage and sabotage missions, establishing secret bases around England. When the Nazis began their territorial aggression, the CSO signed a treaty with the USSR; the CSO would be allowed to set up bases in Soviet territory, and in return they would produce guns for the Soviet cause.
By the time WW2 kicked off, the CSO was very expansive, having a subtle but strong control over England, tons of bases around Russia, and even a handful in France. When Germany declared war on the USSR in 1941, the CSO helped with the war effort, and was a primary reason to why the Soviets won the war and got to Berlin before the Allies did.
The CSO was very crucial in the Cold War too, as a CSO agent was appointed governor of East Germany leaving the organization responsible for the country as well as guarding the Berlin Wall. When all hell broke loose in 1983, the CSO used their bases in North America to crush the United States from the inside and help the Soviets win.
During the communist occupation of North America, the CSO flourished, building bases all over the continent and keeping order among the civilians. They did, however, suffer massively when the USSR fell in 2004 due to SubZero's actions in North America. Following this, SubZero was put on the CSO bounty board for over $1 billion. In 2015 they nearly captured him, but he was able to escape and kill one of their head agents, Agent Preston.
Around 2022, the CSO began to get involved in the politics of the Russian Federation, and made an effort to strengthen the Russian Communist Party, led by Vladimir Smirnov. When the Soviets came back in the form of the Eurasian Socialist Union, the CSO was allowed free will in the country. The CSO, once again, helped the Soviets during WW3, but to no avail as the forces of NATO and Repton were too strong for the organization. This came along with the deaths of many CSO agents by one certain Repton Lieutenant; Liam McMahon.
The Treaty of Saint Petersburg saw the CSO nearly eradicated from the world, but they managed to hold on by a thin strand. Their main base was in Vladivostok, an area less affected by the NATO treaty. Here, they began their rebuilding, and in 2040 an agent stole time travel technology from a Repton lab. This action brought the CSO into the time travel race, additionally garnering them attention once again.
Following a failed time travel mission to kill Hitler which got intercepted by Repton's Agency of Time Preservation and Stability- as well as the attack on Lieutenant McMahon in Calgary which resulted in mass destruction of Calgary streets-, the CSO stayed low and eventually drifted away from their communist ideals.
In 2050 the organization renamed to the Cyber Strike Organization, as they were now more focused on utilizing robots as agents in order to preserve human lives. They would still make attempts to undermine the US government, stealing tech from them and getting involved in elections to try and sway them.
