Star Quest is a story about a female grey wolf from Alberta, trying to find her family, written by Ashenpaw.
There are plans to have it released on Google Play Books when finished, and possibly an official release by a publisher.

Summary
A young grey wolf, Star Paw, lost her family a week ago and is struggling to live by herself. She finally catches a rabbit to eat, but when she returns to her den, a vixen is waiting to attack and steal her meagre prey. The weakened Star Paw barely defeats the intruder and gets to keep the rabbit for herself.
The next morning, she hears a terrible screech during her hunt; leading her to a Northeastern coyote, named Bandit, stuck in a bear trap. After freeing her, Star Paw offers up her home to rest at until her wounds have healed, which Bandit accepts. They become friends and promise to look after each other.Star Paw later encounters a mysterious black wolf who tries to get her to follow him. She tells him she can't leave the area, as she is taking care of a coyote. He misunderstands her words and offers to help her chase Bandit away, thinking she's a leeching intruder, but Star Paw declines and returns to her den, leaving the stranger standing.

Characters
Star Paw
Star Paw is a wolf and the main character.
Most of Star Paw's puphood she lived in her family pack with her mother and father, Star Light and Night, her older brother, Smokey Fire, and her littermates, Rainy and Cherry Blossom. She was the oldest in her litter. Her family had a family marking (which was unusual), a diamond shaped scar, located on the shoulder of each of the family members. When she was almost an adult (teen age in wolf years), her father and older brother were killed, and her littermates and mother went missing, leaving her alone. She became a lost wolf and wandered the forest beside where her family was killed, but not too close in case the hunters were stil there. She lived in a cavern in the side of a mountain, and she climbed the mountain almost every day to watch the sky and the valley below.
She ran into Bandit, a coyote in a fox trap. She rescued her and broke the trap off, taking care of her until her ankle healed.
Star Paw is often rude, careless, and childish. She is reckless and does whatever she feels like doing, which tends to cause problems. She's sorrowful and self-doubting at times because of the trauma of losing her family.
Star Paw is grey, slightly smaller than the average wolf, slender, and has light brown eyes.
Relationships:
- Bandit β Star Paw's best friend. Star Paw has a crush on her. The two are very close despite only knowing each other for a short time.
- Star Light β Star Paw's mother. Star Paw was very close to her when she was a pup and misses her.
- Night β Star Paw's father. Star Paw often followed him around and he told her stories about his life before he met Star Light, and told her about legends before he died.
- Smokey Fire β Star Paw's older brother. Star Paw used to argue with him sometimes, but Smokey Fire always protected her before he died.
- Cherry Blossom β Star Paw's slightly younger sister. Star Paw used to tease Cherry Blossom for being to feminine but she was also friendly toward her.
- Rainy β Star Paw's slightly younger brother. Star Paw used to play in the forest with him and Cherry Blossom before the hunters came.
Bandit
Bandit is a coyote and Star Paw's best friend.
Not much is known about Bandit's background. She was found in a bear trap by Star Paw and rescued by her. Bandit is not from the valley she lives in with Star Paw now, but instead from a forest with her mother and father, who have not yet been named. She lives with Star Paw now and is helpful to her.
Bandit seems soft, kind, and caring, but if she sees someone as a threat, she will attack them, and possibly kill them. She's not nearly as rude or arrogant as Star Paw, and she's less violent than her, too. She dislikes having to fight or kill others, and would rather talk about it.
Bandit is a pale grey coyote with lighter underfur and mixed in pale red-brown fur. Her eyes are a dark chocolate colour. She has a damaged hind leg from a bear trap. She's an average size and build fora coyote. Her tail is a bit bushier than others of her kind.
Relationships:
- Star Paw β Bandit's best friend. The two only knew each other for a short time, but they're already closer than bandit was with her littermates.
- Thunder β Thunder was Bandit's partner at one point, until she decided he was too controlling and that she'd rather be on her own.
Trivia
- Bandit is the only animal that'll put up with Star Paw's arrogance (besides her family).
- Star Paw actually has a crush on Bandit, but doesn't want her to know, and doesn't want to think about it.
- Star Paw has a bit of coyote blood, since her mother had a coyote grandfather.
- Bandit is allergic to dandelions, hay, and fresh-cut grass.
- Bandit's favourite food is rabbit.
