Coriander is one of the major characters in Mimosa N's Portal fanfiction, Project Marigold. She is a winged robot cat that is Coryn's self-proclaimed bodyguard, and was GLaDOS's test subject when she had to give Atlas and P-body a break to take care of their children.
Coriander was created around June 26, 2021.

Biography/Backstory
Background
Coriander's existence was made possible by her "mother", Patches, who begged the Assembly Machine to build another robocat for her to raise.
When P-body and Atlas had Pallas, GLaDOS decided to search the facility for another robot that was willing to test, even though she was upset that Atlas and P-body were becoming way too much like humans. After giving the robots a place to stay to take care of their child (and later children), she found Coriander and chose her to be her test subject. Reluctantly, Coriander accepted and she was given modifications, such as wings.
After 6 years of testing on Coriander, GLaDOS threw her away into the incinerator room to resume testing on Atlas and P-body. However, the robot cat escaped and flew into the deep bowels of Aperture, in hopes to find her mother again.
She managed to stumble upon the Tyrion Cabal, who seemed promising and nice at the time as a group who rebelled against GLaDOS's ways and wanted to change Aperture. She later ends up joining them, even though she thought they were kind of shady and secretive.

Personality
Coriander is mainly cheerful, and kind of stubborn. However, after she almost got incinerated, she later grew bitter and cynical because she got betrayed. She shows her more cynical side when her other fellow robot cats tease her. She is also seen to be loyal and sympathetic (especially to Coryn.)
Appearance
Coriander is a large catlike robot with fluffy white fur covering most of her endoskeleton. Unlike the other robot cats who share the same model, she has wings. Her tail tip and horns are brownish orange. Her left back paw, neck, upper back, and lower belly are missing fur. She has an orange left eye and a blue right eye.

Trivia
- Coriander was originally an AI possessing a living cat with corvine wings whom P-body summoned to be a guardian for Coryn and Basil. She was also made to look like Coryn. However, Mimosa thought this did not fit the Portal universe so this idea was scrapped.

- Coriander was originally meant to possess mechanical wings, but Mimosa was struggling to draw them so she made them be made of hard light instead.
